If you are applying for a new residence permit or an extension of an existing permit, we recommend that you access the application form on the relevant application page on newtodenmark.dk under the ‘How to Apply’ tab. This way you can make sure that you choose the correct application form. On the application page, you can also read more about the rules and conditions for the permit on the ‘Need to Know’ tab.
It may be mandatory to use an online application form
When you submit an application to the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI), it may be mandatory for you to use one of our online application forms. This applies if you need to apply for a residence permit based on the Fast-track scheme or Start-up Denmark. This also applies if you need to apply for an extension or a new residence card. It is stated clearly on each application page if it is mandatory to use an online application form.
You can be exempted from the requirement to use an online application form if you are unable to use the form, due to special circumstances. Such circumstances may include illness, disability or lack of digital skills.
SIRI will make an individual assessment on whether or not you can be exempted. If you wish to be exempted from the requirement, you can call SIRI or write to us via our contact form.

If you can be exempted from the requirement to use an online application form, SIRI will provide you with a different way to submit the application.
If you do not use an online application form when submitting an application for which it is mandatory to apply online and SIRI assesses that you are cannot be exempted from the requirement to use an online application form, SIRI can reject to process your application.
