The Immigration Appeals Board is an independent appellate body handling appeals against decisions issued by the Immigration Service and SIRI (except asylum cases, which fall under the Refugee Appeals Board). The Board can uphold, change, or remand the decision.
The appeal deadline is 8 weeks. Decisions from the Immigration Appeals Board can, in special cases, be reviewed by the courts.
