What is a rejection?
A rejection (Danish: afslag) is a negative decision from a Danish immigration authority — usually the Immigration Service (Udlændingestyrelsen) or SIRI — denying the requested permit. The decision must be written, contain reasoning, and include an appeal notice.
What to do after a rejection
- Read the reasoning carefully — it shows which requirements were considered unmet.
- Check the appeal deadline (typically 8 weeks).
- Consider whether there is grounds to appeal to the Immigration Appeals Board or to file a new application.
Copernica Law has won more than 150 appeal cases and can assess whether your rejection should be appealed.
